Liz Manning has been the Executive Director of the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce since July 2008. In her first three years, the Chamber grew from approximately 260 to 400 members. Her goal is to keep growing the Chamber and providing excellent opportunities for members to connect with each other and grow their businesses.
Prior to joining the Rocky River Chamber, Liz lived in Seattle for 12 years. She gained valuable experience that has helped her in the Chamber world. She was the Membership Director of the Northwest Marine Trade Association, which produces the Seattle Boat Show. She also worked as an event planner for a party rental company and in the technology department at Nordstrom’s corporate office. Prior to Seattle, Liz lived in Chicago for five years where she was a media research analyst and media buyer for the Leo Burnett advertising agency. She has also held various roles in the radio industry in Seattle, Chicago and Cleveland, starting at WMMS-FM in high school.
Liz was born in Lakewood, attended Magnficat High School in Rocky River and then St. Bonaventure University in New York, where she earned a degree in communications. She is the youngest of eight children and finds that her connections made through her family, old friends and past co-workers have helped her expand her network and grow the Chamber. She believes that every person you meet in life is a vehicle for networking. As a volunteer, Liz helps with fundraising events for The Gathering Place. She is a proud Rocky River resident and constantly tries to promote the businesses of Chamber members.
